Dermatology

Our skin is the most versatile of all our organs. It serves as a protective defence between us and the elements. Forming a protective barrier for the entire body, it also plays a key role in supporting our immune system. We do not specialise in dermatology ourselves, but will be happy to recommend one of our specialist consultants in this field. 

Dermatology covers a broad range of diagnostics and treatments, from allergy screening, treatment for acne, mole checks and skin cancer prevention, to treatment of eczema, psoriasis and skin conditions of all kinds.

Dermatological surgery is primarily concerned with the surgical treatment of skin disorders. This includes the removal of benign or malignant tumours and abnormal moles (tumour surgery) as well as the removal of skin samples (biopsies) for further diagnostic evaluation. Laser treatments are also used in dermatologic surgery to treat benign skin lesions, skin pigmentation or lipomas, for example.
