RECOVERY ROOM
After an operation and any anaesthetic it is essential to check that vital signs are stable. By monitoring your progress and providing expert care in the recovery room, we allow you to sleep off the effects of the procedure in peace and quiet and wake up again at your own pace. Even after a local anaesthetic a certain recovery period must be observed before you can be transferred back to your room. The time spent in the recovery room depends on various criteria designed to ensure your safety, but typically lasts a number of hours.
Specially trained staff Our specially trained staff are skilled at detecting any complications at an early stage and intervening with appropriate treatment before any problems arise. Apart from monitoring your vital signs, our nursing staff in the recovery room are responsible for delivering a high level of care and administering the prescribed amount of post-operative pain relief in accordance with individual needs. An anaesthetist is always on hand to assist the nursing staff.
